My experience selling clothes on The RealReal

Fabrique-1Over the holiday period I had my first experience selling some beloved designer items from my closet on the behemoth resale website and I have reached several conclusions. You may be curious or tempted to list some your own closet faves that no longer fit or that you don’t wear, and would like to extend their life cycle by finding them a good second home. But we don’t often hear from sellers in these situations. If you’re like me, you have so many questions: Is it worthwhile? What commission do they take? Is the process straightforward? How do they evaluate your precious pieces? How long does it take for items to sell? Are there preferred labels or brands? I document the ups and downs in detail for you to read here on FashionUnited

  1. πŸ™‚ Thanks for all the information supplied. It was a very interesting read, dear Jackie!
However, had you not spoken to both ladies in charge – would the prices of those items have gone up?
I don’t think so. So I guess I’ll stay cautious when selling my stuff…
Take care and have a very HAPPY weekend!
