Have Yourself a Merry Little Klimtmas

gustav_klimt_046My latest article for FashionUnited is for the ladies. We’ve had a tough year, let’s be honest. Progress that we took for granted seems like it’s being eroded and this can’t help but eat away at our souls. But if it feels like more of a struggle to get in the festive mood this year, maybe stepping through Gustav Klimt’s enchanted world where women reign will help. It worked wonders for me.

I’m getting ready to rise up. This new year will be golden and I’m looking to the beautiful Adele Bloch-Bauer to usher it in.  I’m With Her.

  1. Found it a bit on the small side but it’s a mansion after all! I liked how they paired the paintings with other period objects and was very interested in reading the story behind the acquirement of ”Adele”. I’m with her – and Jackie too! 🙂

    • I agree. There were so many pieces missing that I had expected to see.I loved the beautiful chairs from the period and the fans etc but you can really never get enough of Klimt’s women 🙂

  2. I’m rising up and have chucked in job and home to move to Brighton. Finally got my dream of living by the sea. Feeling very golden (if a little frazzled)…..Go girls xx

  3. Check her out! You’re taking it and running with it, I love it. Looks like 2017’s going to be your year, my dear! need to step it up 🙂 Aiming to finish my novel by end of year, does that count..?

  4. 🙂 For a second I thought you were in Vienna!
I’d love to look at the exhibition, sounds absolutely wonderful.
Have a very HAPPY week xo 🙂

  5. My laugh-out-loud moment in your essay: “it’s certainly a more aesthetically pleasing signature and continuation of one’s father’s legacy than emblazoning one’s name in giant gold letters across generic glass buildings…” Oh, how true, how true! Yes, let’s make 2017 Our Year!
