Postcards from Prague

I’ve Czeched out! I’m taking a long-awaited break, dazzled by the sights on every corner of Prague. Medieval towns lurking amongst hills. I cannot walk for photographing. The gazes of royal dynasties still looking down from their gilded palatial perches. The Czechs do not do minimalism and I love them for it! The city makes me want to be a textile designer. Here’s what I’m talking about:IMG_3409IMG_3301IMG_3283IMG_3959IMG_3703IMG_4234IMG_4200IMG_4145IMG_4086IMG_3933IMG_3833IMG_3744IMG_3736IMG_3692IMG_3621IMG_3555IMG_3554IMG_3543IMG_3422IMG_3377IMG_3332IMG_3273IMG_3263IMG_3761

  1. πŸ™‚ Oh, wow! Welcome home to Europe, dear Jackie!
Love your pictures. It’s been far too long, since I’ve been in Prague.
Have a beautiful holiday and do let me know in case you plan to stop by in Vienna πŸ™‚
    xo

    • Next time, we have to do Vienna. From Mucha to Klimt! I love the art and architecture of the Secessionists. And Vienna always gets such high praise. It was a lovely break. Now I am back to the election circus… 😦
Hope your summer is going beautifully, Happyface! XO

      • πŸ™‚ OMG – the election circus! I do not envy you. MT’s speech πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ unbelievable.
The best of luck to you xo πŸ™‚

  2. Hi Jackie! You got some amazing a shots. It’s a wonderful city, isn’t it? We went several years ago (before kids came along). I loved the atmosphere. I remember the clock and the fantastic building with the gigantic chandeliers which you see through the windows. We didn’t go inside but rather stood opposite gawping for a while. The architecture is just amazing – so unfamiliar really.
Hope you had a great time and you’re going well! 😊

    • Hi Olivia! It is a beautiful city. I expected it but not this much! I want to do other European cities like Berlin, Vienna now as they’re essentially so different from anything the states. I believe you might be having some well-deserved and long-awaited sunshine where you are these days? No chasing rainbows for half a minute, thank God. We were home before Prague and it rained most days. Bad timing. But we hiked and climbed all the same. I hope you’re all enjoying the summer and you’re taking it easy.

  3. It looks amazing! (by the way, I love the bird print dress you are wearing)

  4. Oh Lord, I’ve missed you. Sending you warmest love and hugs, beautiful Jackie M. This was just the thing I needed – your photos are DIVINE. XOXO

  5. Must get myself there. Looks delicious. Enjoy!! x

  6. Love Prague! Over the Top Deco and Beyond. Thank you for sharing — haven’t been there in so long. It was Marathon time when we went! Did you enjoy the Czech Beer, too?!?!?
Safe travels and the sandals look like they are holding up well. XO

    • I sipped on a pilsner or two, chomped on a goulash, yes πŸ™‚ It was a beautiful break. I’m glad to be back and yet rearing to be on the move again. The wanderlust is hard to contain at this time of year. Hope you’re enjoying your summer, Dievca. XO
