I’m starting the new year by posting my last article of 2015 for FashionUnited.com. I am happy to say that I will be increasing my writing for them in 2016 and have been informed that 2 of the Top 10 Most Read articles of 2015 on their US page were written by yours truly. Although they are headquartered in Holland, and are read in 20+ countries, the reality that I am checking in from my small East Village corner of Manhattan (possibly still in my pajamas) really brings home to me the global yet intimate appeal of fashion. I have been enjoying this opportunity to pen my responses to the shifts and turns of the fashion industry and I hope you enjoy it too.

Very interesting article, Jackie. And I think the dress by Lavan Chxeidze would look better on you anyway … in my humble opinion ๐ That’s not to say that agender clothing is unappealing. In truth, it would probably make my shopping for clothes more enjoyable, assuming that the agender lines allow for larger women sizes ๐
Thank you!
Very valid points you make, I think. Anything to break the Kardashian sausage dressing movement. We need to go asexual in order to usher in a new sexiness. I’m all in! ๐
Way to go, Jackie. So glad you’ve found a way of blending fashion and writing (well, you’ve always blended the two, hence your wonderful novel). Loved your articles. Keep it up (and in you jammies, too).
Thank you, Cinthia! I wish you much writing success in your jammies this year! x
Well bloody done! Even though I couldn’t be more far removed from the fashion world – other than for coveting what I cannot purchase – I really enjoy your articles.
Thank you, sweetheart. Although I think you play too modest. I’ve seen teasers of the sophisticated taste level your closet boasts.
Hardly surprising Jackie, your articles are always a pleasure to read and very educational too, esp. for outsiders like me. Well done on all accounts!
PS. Thanks for the intro to Edelkoort – no idea why she should proclaim her views on fashion being ‘dead’ or ‘obsolete’ as a ‘manifesto’ but, hey, it’s a hyperbole world we live in…
PS1. Agreed with 1WriteWay – I’m sure this particular dress looks better on you xxx
Thank you, Lia. I’m happy you enjoy reading them. That means a lot xo
PS I haven’t taken the dress out for a spin yet but I’m looking forward to ๐
