Today’s “water cooler moments” usually revolve around TV, sports or pop culture events.
But it’s quite powerful to feel part of an historic literary happening.
I couldn’t resist…
I’m going in without preconceived opinions or prejudices…
I was a bit thrown by the NYT review. Interested to know what you think
I’m going in blindfold. I know only that Atticus is a changed man in his beliefs…
Lately though, reviewers have been leaving me scratching my head. Went to see Amy on Friday night which got a 97 on Rotten Tomatoes. I can only deduce their amazing reviews are overcompensation due to guilt for all the hideous things the same newspapers wrote about her a mere 4 years ago.
That is interesting. I can’t wait to see the movie and the reviews were so fantastic…well, I need to wait and wrap my head around a racist Atticus. I nearly named my dog after him but my neighbour beat me to it. Kind of glad now I went for Otello….jealous but not racist.
I really want to read this. I hope I get to it soon.
I’ll Spoiler Alert you if I decide to post a review!
I read the first chapter and bought the ebook. Am traveling next week, so will be finishing a lovely Irish Girl’s fashion novel and starting this book. Don’t take the subway anymore, so I don’t really read unless I travel. It’s a bummer…XO
Oh, we can compare notes! On both books 🙂
Hope you’re off somewhere nice.
I haven’t read any reviews yet either! I want to also go in totally unbiased :)! let us know!!!
I’ll get right on it 🙂 Standby!
