  1. o wow! Congrats on the feature interview!!

  2. Thank you, CrazyB. It’s a nice start to me Monday x

  3. Peter McLaughlin

That was a great article! Well done.

  4. LOOK AT CHU!!!
YES…you are definitely making my congress ready dress! dang straight!
HEADLINER! LOVE the faceshot! Least you were smiling!

  5. How glamorous do you look; feel positively envious sat here in my fluffy slippers and towelling dressing gown; did buy it in M&S though!

    • There is a magic dust that rubs off when peeping through a curtain of Beyonce and Lucy Liu. Minus curtain, much less sparkle–but fluffy slippers are the height of glamour!

  6. Yaaaaaaaay! Well done luv,,damn impressed!!! xxxxx

  7. Well done! You look great!! X

  8. That is truly a great interview! And kudos to you for walking away from what you don’t want to do, even if it did pay well. Too many of us are/were willing to sacrifice our need for intrinsic value just to get a decent salary and health insurance.

    • Thank you very much. I was a bit apprehensive but she was a nice interviewer. It’s a very interesting point you make and it is the subject of an article I am writing at the moment. People say it’s brave but I personally find it takes more courage to stay in a place that you know is wrong for you than to just up sticks and get the hell out. Gut instinct is key. My gut is extremely talkative. It is a determined little blighter and will not be ignored! 🙂

      • Your comment that “it takes more courage to stay in a place that you know is wrong for you” is interesting. I hadn’t thought of it that way. Fortunately, I generally like the office I work in, especially my workmates, and that goes a long way toward staying put 🙂 But you did put a lot of time and hard work into your career and you haven’t quit really. It was just time for you to do things your way 😉

  9. Great PICTURE! What a lovely smile. And I want an Amazon drone to drop a book for me. Except it would get shot out of the sky by a hunter or a conspiracy theorist around here. Ha! Drones…
but congrats on the lovely article! Great news!

  10. Thanks Laura! Or worse, it might drop it on your head. Then you could sue Amazon and you’d be minted for life. And I would only ask a small cut, a few measly million. Why, you’re welcome.:-)

  11. OMG Dickie Rock is still alive! Just kidding – I’m delighted for you Jackie…enjoy it.

    • I know! One day I hope to meet him, not just share the same newsprint…a girl can dream…
You’ve been keeping a low profile as of late, Milke. Your absence has not gone unnoticed. You were one of my first friends in the this schoolyard.

Content that matters, inspirational story, congratulations. I too prefer the paperback vs e-book coming soon to my Mississippi home where seldom a drone is seen. USPS is entirely sufficient creating anticipation that lasts for days.

  13. Thank you! I’m with you on the anticipation thing. Often having to wait for something worthwhile is a valuable part of the experience. Instant gratification is so short-lived! And we need to keep the postal service in business. Just like many other conveniences, these drones will bring downsides that we overlook until it’s too late. Although I’m a slow adapter to the new fangled anything 🙂

  14. I’m really loving the theme/design of your blog. Do you ever run into
any web browser compatibility issues? A handful of my blog readers have complained about my site not operating correctly in Explorer but looks great in Firefox.
Do you have any suggestions to help fix this issue?

    • Hi Susanne,

I’ve never had any problems to be honest. I’m not very technically minded so I don’t do anything too tricky. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help. Good luck with getting to the bottom of it!
